murvold
Hi, maybe someone can help me here. Been working on this for several days now. running osx 10.10.4 on a following setup: mobo: gigabyte x79 up4 (rev1.0 bios version F7) cpu: i7 3820 gpu: gigabyte nvidia 970 mini itx 4gb ram: 32gb (8*4gb) 1600MHz Kingston HyperX Fury hdd: 2*2tb Caviar Black + 4tb Caviar Black for storage ssd: Crucial M4 256gb(windows) + Crucial M100 256gb(osx) bootloader: clover v2 r3241 bootflags: -v kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x3000 nvda-drv=1 nvidia web drivers: 346.02.02f02 everything else is working well except graphics. With my old gpu gigabyte nvidia 650 2gb it worked OOB for many months. nvda_drv=1 flag with inject nvidia boots up and shows 0mb of vram and recognizes the gpu. In windows everything worked well with the gpu. thanks in advance Lauri
Mrx33
you have a gigabyte board which requires this flag pcirootuid=1 install or add the flag to your boot loader and reboot the system read this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/305914-all-problems-with-gtx-970-and-yoseite/ i just noticed that you use npci=0x3000 if after using pcirootuid=1 still don't work change npci=0x3000 for npci=0x2000
murvold
Thank you, npci=0x2000 solved the problem as I already tried PCIRootUID=1 earlier which resulted in booting up without any signal sent to monitors edit: unfortunately it only works when I have one monitor connected via DisplayPort, as soon as I boot with 2 or more monitors I get an instant reboot after loading ethernet. attached clover bootlog just in case edit2: nevermind, I'll make another thread pointing this multiple display issue bootlog.log.txt
murvold
Hi, thanks you for your reply, I'll try the LAN thing, but for me it seems that there is another line coming right after LAN which is displayed for a fraction of second. extra monitors work when connected after boot. my only boot arguments are as follows: -v PCIRootUID=1 kext-dev-mode=1 nvda_drv=1 npci=0x2000 and they seem quite mandatory to run everything clover automatically sets my SMBIOS as Mac Pro 4,1 - Iĺl also try other bioses have been googling all day long and so far no answers for me, but will keep looking
murvold
Hi everyone, finally got it solved by using SSDT-s and Clover config.plist(with minor adjustments to fit my hardware) from Rampagedev-s X79.dmg package. Now I can finally boot with 3 Dell P2415q connected via DP and one older monitor via HDMI
