Thanks for posting this.

My system:

Mobo: MSI H61M-P31/W8

CPU: i7-3770

8GB RAM

GPU: Zotac GT440 1GB

SSD: Samsung EVO 250GB

WIFI: TP Link TL-725n USB

... and, of course, a monitor (connnected via HDMI) and DVD-RW drive.

I used qlover Note to create the Yosemite 10.10.3 installation USB drive, and set the motherboard to be UEFI rather than Legacy + UEFI as qlover Note is for EFI systems.

Installation went fine, and the 'unmentionable Beast' was used to install drivers for LAN (Realtek 8111) and VooDoo audio. After this, Clover Configurator was used to set up the config.plist file on the EFI partition of the SSD. Clover configurator will generate a config file that is almost perfect, so only a few tweaks are need. Clover Configurator makes it a doddle to add various flags. The settings I added are:

npci=0x3000

GraphicsEnabler=Yes

I found that if I had npci=0x2000 and no entry for GraphicsEnabler, then the first boot was unsuccessful - after the Apple logo, the screen would go blank and no input was detected.

The  GPU worked perfectly with no need for the official nVidia driver; the WIFI required drivers for RTL-8188EU; and I had to tweak the Voodoo KEXT to prevent it from producing hiss as follows:

Open Terminal and type

cd /System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext/Contents

sudo nano Info.plist

Locate the entry for iGain and change the value to 0 (zero)

Save and exit

That's it; all done!
