Hi guys,

I have some problem with ACPIBatteryManager kext. It says that my computer never charges for more than 95%, and it shutdowns unexpectedly when battery is about 30% charged. I've tried to calibrate battery, but it didn't work.

Looking at:

"DesignCapacity" = 5200
"CurrentCapacity" = 3623
"CycleCount" = 566

I can only imagine your battery has seen better times. I have actually bought a battery from China that has dropped 25% it's original capacity after controller recorded 3 cycles (DELL ePSA), no joke. My laptop would also just shut off at roughly 23 to 30% because battery controller is just {censored}. If you are not using your OEM battery anymore, chances are that is what is happening here.

The only problem I have with ACPIBatteryManager with Yosemite release is that laptop will normally start (booting from SSD), saying no battery is installed and the brightness will be according to AC levels, then after about 3-5 seconds battery will show up and brightness will go down, since the power source has supposedly switched. Probably some dependency issue or SSD just  boots too fast. I didn't notice this before with Mavericks on same SSD, so probably the first one.
