Hello!

I have HP Pavilion G6-1095st, which is similiar to yours. I'm not an expert but I can help.

HP Pavilion G6 series are one of most problematic notebooks to install OS X, most BIOS options are disabled, Wireless card is whitelisted, and BIOS is RSA protected.

First of all, you'll need to replace your wireless card. Broadcom 4313 is not supported. Find a list of HP branded cards from the service manual or disassembled BIOS.

I got a acer branded Atheros AR9287, Rebranded it as HP branded AR9285 to allow bios to boot, then Rebrand it (again) as AR9380 with DSDT, so OS X shows it as a AirPort device.

Forget about AMD Radeon card. It's already problematic with Windows, (I need to use custom branded driver to get it work on Windows 8) and it's not working with OS X. But Intel HD 3000 is enough for desktop experience. I just switch to windows when I want to play gpu demanding games.

Other components should just work. (Except card reader, I don't need it frequently, so it's not worth the hassle for me.)
