10.8.2 update to 10.8.3,10.8.3 update to 10.8.4,update failed but version number is correct.

When I update 10.8.2 update to 10.8.3,10.8.3 update to 10.8.4,update program in the end always failed,but when I reboot,in about mac it shows correct verison number.When I Install Logitech G9X mouse driver it happened same thing.Is this normal?How do I figure whether I have update the system file?

Select ''About this Mac''

Then press more info

In the Software section they will show if the build is 12exx for 10.8.4 and 12dxx for 10.8.3

it shows 12E55

I believe that the reason why the OS updates claim to have failed at the very end is due to one of the update steps. The way I figure it, the updater is trying to write some updates to OpenFirmware or PRAM, but neither of those things exist on a PC-based Hackintosh, so they return failures. The rest of the update consists of file and setting updates, and those are generally successful, which is why the update ultimately succeeds.
