liujianwei Posted June 19, 2013 Share Posted June 19, 2013 When I update 10.8.2 update to 10.8.3,10.8.3 update to 10.8.4,update program in the end always failed,but when I reboot,in about mac it shows correct verison number.When I Install Logitech G9X mouse driver it happened same thing.Is this normal?How do I figure whether I have update the system file? Red Five Posted October 25, 2013 Share Posted October 25, 2013 I believe that the reason why the OS updates claim to have failed at the very end is due to one of the update steps. The way I figure it, the updater is trying to write some updates to OpenFirmware or PRAM, but neither of those things exist on a PC-based Hackintosh, so they return failures.
