ashww
Hey, this is my first post here but I have been oin this forum as a guest for quite some time. Anyway I decided to go ahead and install OS X on my laptop. My bios has Legacy enabled & my HDD using the MBR partition scheme, and I have successfully installed Windows 8 & ML. However, I can only boot into ML using my USB installer, I have tried to follow several guides to install bootloaders but none of them work. I always end up with the error "boot0: error". I can still boot into windows 8 after I insert my win8 install usb and get the "System Reserve" partition as active. For extra information my laptop is: HP Envy m6-1178sa I installed a custom kext for my RAID HDD port(becuase HP won't let me change it in the bois; who uses raid for just one HDD -.-) I also install FakeSMC.kext & NullCPUPowerManagement.kext as I had panics without them. My partition setup is as follows: #1 Primary 350MB System Reserve (active to boot to win8) #2 Primary 700GB (Win8 Partition) #3 Primary 231GB (OS X Partition) (If this is active as all the bootloader guides show I get the "boot0: error") I have spent 3 full days pulling my hair out now, and could really do with some help Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks
