ndillane Posted December 11, 2012 Share Posted December 11, 2012 when installing a 256GB SSD in my mid 2009 MBP I noticed a large file called devrdisk2 in the / folder Note it iS NOT /dev/rdisk2. it is a 1.9GB file called devrdisk2 As I have downgraded (capacity wise) from a 500GB HDD to a 256GB SSD I am doing my best to conserve space I'd like to know if I can delete it - or I should say How can I delete it. I already tried by moving it to the documents folder to see if anything "broke" but it was just recreated in the / folder Google search won't throw up anything on this file name Is this some kind of "RAM Disk" Any advice welcome tks Noel Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
