Hi,
does anyone know if it is possible and how to enable QE / CI on ATI HD 2600 XT on Lion 10.7.2? I just can not figure out how to do it. Can anyone help me. I would appreciate it because I can not see movies. Thanks for the assistance that you will provide.

Hi

pretty old card, i'm not sure if there's a proper way to have QE/CI on this card.

try this method : http://www.insanelym...n/#entry1739329

if that doesn't work, you'll may be to have to envisage to buy a recent cheap card.

Good luck

Cordially, staff

The card should work as long as your device ID is added to the proper kexts. The following is the working framebuffers for your card:

Kext/System/Library/Extensions/ATI2600Controller.kext/Contents/MacOS/AMD2600Controller

Also follow my guide here to inject the card into your DSDT:

some times it's not enough, so it needs to patch special binaries addresses to get it work and some time that is not enough too ! :)

but i really hope that it will work for him ! ;)

Good luck

thank you very much for the support,

I'm afraid I have to buy a graphics card most suitable because they are not able to update my card via DSDT even though I would love to try. I believe that to do so I would need to study a little, right? thanks again and really compliments for the forum: it is a great help for newbies like me!

Yes, if you post your DSDT and IOreg I can take a look. Go to my blog in my sig to find out how to extract both of those files.

Dear Rampage Dev,
thank you for your time ... I post the file you were talking about hoping not to have to buy a new graphics card to run QE. Have a good weekend.

PS: Sorry for the english but I'm Italian and I use a translator :)
