I have a compaq presario CQ60-211DX. After several failed attempts to get the Atheros AR5007 wireless card to work, i gave up and swapped it for a Broadcom BCM4311 {registers as bcm4312 in 10.6.x}. The card is accepted by the OS but i am unable to turn it on either with the OS or with the power button {it stays amber coloured}. The card does work in windows 7, so it isn't broken. any help?
