arcticsnpr Posted April 21, 2012 Share Posted April 21, 2012 Hi, I recently built a hackintosh, but I'm having issues with my video card. I have two Ati Radeon 4890's. I have a dual boot with Windows so I can use crossfire there, but I don't want it in OSX, since I can't get dual video cards to work together. Whenever I boot, the card I'm not using speeds up the fan to 100%, and it's loud. It's odd, but when I put it to sleep and wake it back it, the fan speed returns to a normal speed. Also, the boot hangs on "Device in Slot - Slot 1", but will boot in a minute or so. Does anyone know how to disable one of the cards?
