Huckleberry Pie
So I have this iATKOS S3 V2 install, and I wanted to upgrade it to 10.6.8. A guy in this thread suggested that I should upgrade to 10.6.7 first, install a legacy kernel, reboot, install the 10.6.8 update, and do the necessary stuff. Can anyone provide me with some foolproof guide of sorts for this? Specs are in my siggy. ego321
You can update directly to 10.6.8: Open the Combo Update and install it. If you get "Installation failed", change the date to a date that was before 31 March 2012! When the installation is finished: DON’T CLICK REBOOT!!! Install legacy_kernel-10.8.0.v2.pkg and now click Reboot on the Combo Update Window! 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/277674-just-a-question-regarding-upgrading-my-iatkos-s3/#findComment-1811371 Share on other sites

Problem is that I seem to be getting stability issues especially since I tried using Sophos AV.
