Hi all,

Does anyone know if I can change my macbook model identifier?

I want to install Autocad on my macbook, but I have macbook 3,1 which is unsuported from Autodesk. I managed somehow to install the software, but now when I try to run it it says "WHIP failed to initialize", which is a message from Autocad saying - {censored} off.

I need it so badly that I'm somehow trying to change my macbook model from 3,1 into 5,1 and trick Autocad.

Does somebody know how to do it?

I tried modifying the file - Localizable.strings found in SPPlatformReporter.spreporter in System/Library/SystemProfiler, but it didn't help.

i think there mght be a firmware hack.
