ShadowsOfSilver Posted December 12, 2011 Share Posted December 12, 2011 So, my sister got a job (lucky her), and buying a laptop, and I'm going to hackintosh whatever she gets. She's stuck in between a Macbook (2007-2009) or the 15R. She's leaning towards the 15R, so, yeah. She can only afford the i3 one, however, which nobody seems to be focused on hackintoshing the 15R with, everybody seems to have the i5 model. And she needs everything working, Wi-Fi, Audio, perfect Video, and well, everything the Macbook would do. It also needs Snow Leopard or Lion. Preferably Lion, I want her to have the newest OS she can have. I will be setting up a dualboot (probably 80 GBs for Windows 7 and the other 420 GBs for SL/Lion). She needs to be able to play Sims 2 and 3 on OS X, also. The only thing about the Macbook is the low HDD space (120-160 GB), and 50% less RAM than the 15R has. So, she wants the 15R.
