nVidia 570 with Lion

First of all, Hi!

 

And second this is my problem, after all the trouble, all the months trying to have Lion in my PC i finally have it but got no acceleration, i installed the kexts for 570 from kexts webpage but then the OS broke up :S and it wouldn't even start, so there is a proper tutorial to have it working? i don't ask for too much just to have decent resolution and maybe try to play some left4dead2 over steam.

asus p7p55d deluxe

2x2gb gskill

intel i5 750

nvidia 570

This is how i made it work.

 

Pure 10.7 (11A511) install using [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url]. http://www.tonymacx8...Beast-1.0.0.zip (10.7.2 11C74 did not work for my vga)

[url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] 4.1 http://www.tonymacx8...Beast-4.1.0.zip (no vga drivers selected, just select PCI Configuration Fix, PCI Root ID Fix, Graphics Enabler and other stuff for your mobo like ethernet, audio etc.)

Using GFXutils http://rapidshare.co...fxutil.zip.html first get your PCI position "gfxutils -f display", then fill out the default nvidia.list with this PCI position, vga name, Vram size, outputs etc (use this article http://forum.netkas....php?topic=222.0) and using gfxutils make a hex file nvidia.hex from the nvidia.list (gfxutils -i xml -o hex nvidia.list nvidia.hex)

Open the hex file in text editor, copy the content, open /Extra/org.chameleon.boot.plist and add <key>device-properties</key><string>Your Hex content</string>

Next download and install GTX5XX Enabler http://www.osx86.net...xx_enabler.html from kexts site. Install only the driver (the top option) nothing else. ATY_init made my mac keep rebooting on boot.

Repair permissions using Kext utility. http://www.osx86.net...xt_utility.html

Reboot and cross your fingers

 

If it will work, then use this http://www.osx86.net...570_10.7.2.html to unleash the full power of your gtx570.
