i needed that operating system and i tried alot of times to install it .. finally i succeed with iAtkos s3 v2

but the problems that i'm facing it .

1- VGA driver not installed (ATI 5470 512)

2- sound doesn't work.

3- Battery life become too short.

4- Processor temperature become too hot so the fan wouldn't stop.

5- USB doesn't work ...but when i used ##### and checked USB3 it worked but after restart the os couldn't start again.

Please help me to make this os stable on my laptop...

What version of Snow Leopard is it? That is important for your USB issue.

Your VGA driver can probably be fixed by putting your device/vendor ID (you can find it in System Profiler) in the ATI5000Controller.kext. Do this:

1. Open Terminal and type: sudo nano /System/Library/Extensions/ATI5000Controller.kext/Contents/Info.plist

2. Upon entering a simple text editor, scroll with the arrow keys down to an area where it says IOPCIPrimaryMatch. In the line below, enter 0x[devid]1002 before all the other IDs. Press Control-O, press enter, and then reboot.

If that doesn't solve your problem, try this as well:

1. Download OSx86 Tools (google it). Open it and click EFI String/Boot Flag.

2. Click the GFX Strings in the toolbar and choose Custom GeForce from the pop-up menu.

3. You will enter ATi Radeon HD 5470 in the first dialog, then choose 512 MB VRAM, and then choose your port configuration (most likely VGA / DVI).

4. Once you're done, copy the entire hexadecimal EFI string with Alt-C or Windows-C.

5. Open Terminal and type: sudo nano /Extra/com.apple.boot.plist

6. Scroll down to the end of the indented portion and create a new line, indent it, and type device-properties

7. Press return again and type . Now paste (with Alt-V or Windows-V) the string directly afterwards (no spaces). At the end, type . Press Control-O, press enter, and reboot. See if that works.

For your temperature issue, it is involved with the CPU Management kext. I'll do more research on it. Probably power management is the same culprit with the battery life.

For the sound, have you tried VoodooHDA? It is one of the audio kexts in #####. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll see if there are any other audio kexts I have.
