I have a insyde h20 (efi) bios on my hp dv7 laptop. with an intel core2duo cpu, and nvidia 9600 graphics card. They both can run off of vanilla osx software as far as I can tell. I also have an insyde h2o efi enabled bios... I've been looking into modding my bios, and see I have an option to remove

"cpu alias's" which I know is what is usually fixed in custom dsdt.aml files. My question is:

If I remove cpu alias's from my bios, will windows and linux still run?

Under the dtst section i can do the following

Add SLI entry

Remove CPU Aliases

Allow user to modify DSDT

Use Intel compatibility mode

(Please note, I have the complete capability to recover from a bad flash in a matter of minutes. So please wild ideas are welcome)

the dsdt can be made to choose what it shows.. u can make a no alias cpu scope. and one with alias. if its xp it returns alias section.. if not xp no alias.

If LEqual OSID..

or u can just use dsdt seaprate for osx .. not in bios.
