Right, So I'm getting a laptop in December, and I think I've decided the one for me. The exact model is the..

Acer Aspire 5750G-2416G75Mnkk

(Model Number: LX.RMX02.040)

Specs are as follows:

  • Intel Core i5-2410M processor
  • Chipset: HM65
  • 6 GB DDR3 RAM
  • 750 GB hard drive (5400rpm)
  • 15.6" HD Acer CineCrystal LED LCD screen
  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M 1GB graphics card And Intel HD3000
  • Acer Nplify 802.11b/g/n
  • 1.3 megapixel HD webcam
  • DVD-Super Multi DL drive
  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (Installed before hackintosh)
  • Other similar models in this range have multi touch track pad although I cant confirm..

More specs here (Amazon.co.uk)

Anyway, What I want to know is how can I get Lion onto this notebook..

  • Is there a single disk I can use or will I need to install leopard first?
  • Which kexts will I need?... Or where can I find out which ones I need?
  • Any other bits of info I should know from any others that have done a install on this computer?

Please don't feel like I've asked for too much, all I want is a helpful push in the right direction and possibly more in depth help in the future :censored2:

Problems I can foresee:

  • Optimus Technologies (switching from HD3000 to nVidia automatically) - Although I see some of the new macbook pro's have a similar feature... is this lion only?
  • Getting hold of the right kexts.
  • Problems in installation.
  • Problems with dual booting.

So Yeah, If theres anyone thats willing to help lead me the right way, I will be very grateful!

Thanks in advance,

th3ant
