manmal Posted October 7, 2011 Share Posted October 7, 2011 Hi! i am trying a new laptop :Asus N53SV with cpu i7-2630qm , hm65 express chipset , 8gb ram ddr3-1333, intel hd3000 , nvidia gt540m 2gb+intel hd3000 videocard, bluray disc, usb3 , atheros 168c_002b wifi , realtek ethernet , alc269 sound. Any suggestion installing snow or lion? which method? 1) does intel hd3000 works nice without artefacts in both 10.6.8 and 10.7.1? 2) is it possible to use gt540m changing (patching) the nvidia kexts to its similar brother gt435m(present in kexts)? 3) does wifi + ethernet work? 4) is it possible to patch applehda with alc269 ? manmal Posted November 2, 2011 Author Share Posted November 2, 2011 Hi! i did something more... i was able to install lion updated to 10.7.1, but with some limits. After resuming from sleep, usb ports are disconnected. Ethernet doesn't work(i have realtek gigabit ethernet) and airport works, but not as native airport(i have to reconnect to wifi network each time i resume from sleep, each time i reboot and so on).
