ergosteur
I'm at a complete loss here. Just updated my Mac Pro to OS X Lion. I have a few folders, plus my home folder shared via SMB for access from some Linux and Windows machines on my network. However, since Lion, no computers except my Inspiron hackintosh can access any SMB shares on the Mac Pro, when they all used to work perfectly. After looking at this thread (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3206725?tstart=0), i opened up the /var/log/krb5kdc/kdc.log and saw the following. From a WinXP netbook: 2011-07-26T21:52:00 digest-request: user=ASPIREONE\\matt 2011-07-26T21:52:00 NTLM domain not configured 2011-07-26T21:52:00 digest-request: kdc failed with 36150275 proto=unknown 2011-07-26T21:52:00 digest-request: guest failed with 22 proto=ntlmv1-with-v2-session 2011-07-26T21:52:04 digest-request: uid=0 2011-07-26T21:52:04 digest-request: init request 2011-07-26T21:52:04 digest-request: init return domain: BUILTIN server: MACPRO 2011-07-26T21:52:04 digest-request: uid=0 2011-07-26T21:52:04 digest-request: init request 2011-07-26T21:52:04 digest-request: init return domain: BUILTIN server: MACPRO 2011-07-26T21:52:04 digest-request: uid=0 From a Win7 PC: 2011-07-26T22:02:52 digest-request: user=VHD2\\Matt 2011-07-26T22:02:52 NTLM domain not configured 2011-07-26T22:02:52 digest-request: kdc failed with 36150275 proto=unknown 2011-07-26T22:02:52 digest-request: guest failed with 22 proto=ntlmv2 2011-07-26T22:02:52 digest-request: uid=0 2011-07-26T22:02:52 digest-request: init request 2011-07-26T22:02:52 digest-request: init return domain: BUILTIN server: MACPRO Tried changing the logon domain: 2011-07-26T22:04:03 digest-request: uid=0 2011-07-26T22:04:03 digest-request: user=macpro\\matt 2011-07-26T22:04:03 NTLM domain not configured 2011-07-26T22:04:03 digest-request: kdc failed with 36150275 proto=unknown 2011-07-26T22:04:03 digest-request: guest failed with 22 proto=ntlmv2 Finally from my hackintosh: 2011-07-26T22:05:43 TGS-REQ matt@LKDC:SHA1.35A677B603D1FF0F521BFAB6B3B71C1F1BC8E660 from network for cifs/LKDC:SHA1.35A677B603D1FF0F521BFAB6B3B71C1F1BC8E660@LKDC:SHA1.35A677B603D1FF0F521BFAB6B3B71C1F1BC8E660 [canonicalize, proxiable, forwardable] 2011-07-26T22:05:43 TGS-REQ authtime: 2011-07-26T21:47:05 starttime: 2011-07-26T22:05:43 endtime: 2011-07-27T07:47:05 renew till: unset Can anyone make any sense of this? DickDuff
Don't know what's happening in the log but here are a couple of things that worked for others. Uncheck the "AFP" file sharing box and leave the "SMB" one checked in the Sharing preferences. This allowed me to connect to my Lion machine and see my shares from my Windows 7 machine. I couldn't before that. Others have found that by removing their Home Folder from the share allowed it to work as well. Worth a try anyway
