*Hardware list:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T9400

Video: Nvidia Geforce 9600M GT (10DE:0649)

Chipset: Intel ICH9M

Network: Realtek 8186C/8111C (10EC:8186)

Sound: Intel IDT HDA (111D:76B2, 8086:293E)

Wireless: Intel Wifi 5100

Card Reader: JMB 38x Controller

HP Webcam

 

1. What you need:

*Computer running Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later

*8GB USB Flash Drive

*Intel Core 2 Duo (minimum), 64 bit CPU

*Mac OSX Lion Installer from the Mac App Store for $29.99

*Download [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and xMove from tonymacx86.com

 

2. Get prepared:

*Run [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] on current Mac OSX, go to Customization, select System Definitions, then Mac Pro 3.1. When installation is complete, restart computer.

 

*Insert the 8GB USB flash drive, use Disk Utility to format it with 1 partition, Mac OS Extended (journaled), click Options and select GUID Partition Table, named as INSTALLER.

 

*Launch Mac OSX Lion App and select current drive (Snow Leopard) to install Lion, then Restart computer

 

*Boot into Snow Leopard again, then fire up xMove, choose the “Installer” drive as the Destination. DO NOT choose any other drive.

 

*Run [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url], check [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] Install, go to Drivers-Bootloaders, select Bootloaders, go to Customization, select System Definitions, then Mac Pro 3.1. Make sure the destination is the 8G USB flash drive INSTALLER. (If you can't see drive selection, hit Continue and choose Change)

 

*When [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] installation on USB flash drive is complete, restart computer from the USB flash drive. Select INSTALLER as the boot drive.
