Hello friends,

I've just managed to install OSX Lion on my computer, in fact I'm typing from it right now (YAY!)

Problem is, I can't manage to get it to recognize my Audio device, and can't get any acceleration from my 4870X2... It only sees 3MB of memory there...

Specs:

Core i7 920 (Using all cores)

P6T Deluxe V2 (Intel LGA1366 Platform / X58 chipset)

4870X2 from ATI

6GB of RAM (Boots fine)

Audio is ADI® AD2000B

AHCI HDD where Lion is installed

I'm using chameleon RC5 with the kexts:

ATY_Init.kext

Marvell88E8056.kext (Network, works like a charm)

IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext

AHCIPortInjector.kext

fakesmc.kext

AppleHDA.kext

The installation was a hybrid method from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=260594 , and I used an USB device to boot the installation utility with the kexts mentioned above. Then, just installed chameleon on the drive and copied the kexts back.

What to do? Should I be looking for some EFI strings?

Thanks in advance.

Also, thank you for the great support! The community is awesome!

/* EDIT: NEARLY SOLVED */

So, I managed to get the QE/CI by using the awesome DSDT Auto-Patcher tool (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=235523) Thanks to MaLd0n (Brasil!!)

AND netkas' exotic patch for Lion (http://netkas.org/?p=854)

The only problem is that only one monitor works (only the the port further away from the PCI-E slot), which is a bit weird.. Also, it gets recognized as a 4800, not 4870X2.

The sound worked fine with the VoodooHDA.kext after deleting the AppleHDA.kext from the extensions folder.

Pretty happy already ;)

Great to hear!

Does it still work as you have hoped it to do?

I'm looking for the kext for the network. I have not been able to find it yet.

I used ##### (tonymacosx86) installation and everything almost worked as supposed...

Just the network having problem.. (even two screens setup working ((Geforce)) )

But as said.

I'm interested in to know if this is working in the long therm as well...
