my computer works great, I used the guide from:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=259068

when I start my computer there is no apple with the spinning thing under it ... i just get a tun of words/lines loading and then my login screen comes on...

Question is how do I get the apple with the spinning thing under it... I just don't like all the words/lines before the login screen...

I have taken a photo and uploaded it here to give you an idea on what I'm talking about..

any help would be great.

PS: I no longer need the usb to start Lion, everything starts just fine ...only the lines/words bug me :-)

It is because there's no cache of drivers yet...google how to build kext cache.

Also no apple logo because you are in verbose mode with -v in kernel flags. Look at /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist and get rid of -v in Kernel Flags to see logo. Note: verbose mode is good for troubleshooting issues.

The picture shows your system rebuilding your kext files because its ignoring or has no kext cache (mkext). This happens before the actual boot process, which you probably see as white text on black. What vboyz said will hide the text behind the splash screen and make it look the way you want, but skipping this rebuild step would make your boot up much faster.

This is the problem i'm having. I can show/hide verbose mode as normal, but if i build a kext cache, it fails to boot. Strangely, i get passed DSMOS has arrived, but it still hangs before loading the login screen. Any one solved this yet?
