So i got Lion DP4 installed and update to the newest build no problem. I noticed one thing with the ethernet driver, mine is Realtek 8168D, that when I used RealR1000SL.kext, it doesn't like me caching the kext using Extensions.mkext.
Basically, if I let Lion load all kexts at boot time, which takes a looong time, then the RealR1000SL.kext will work just fine (but only 100Mbps speed not gigE). But as long as I build Extensions.mkext and stick it into /S/L/Caches/com.apple.kext/Startup then the RealR1000SL.kext doesn't work.
Anyone experiencing same issue and they have a solution??????
Edit: I use the Chameleon preference pane to edit my boot.plist to not use -v (verbose mode) and now the system boots up way faster WITHOUT kext cache file. This works for me!
