natasha123 Posted May 4, 2011 Share Posted May 4, 2011 I had a nightmare trying to get my intel 889a on my motherboard to output 5.1, i could only get stereo. I wasted so much time trying to do this so spending a little to get this to work was not a problem. Im sure there maybe more like me this is why i am writing this! By far the easiest way is to buy the creative sound blaster 21bit external usb. It is plug and play, no drivers it just works. (All be it I had to set my midi settings to quadraphonic) I managed to get this off ebay for £20! All those that have given up hope just buy this its worth it.
