smoothJ Posted April 26, 2011 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Hello All, I have an Asus G1sn which I installed OSX on using the Nawcom boot CD. It works pretty well, however I wanted to get a little more processor power. It comes with a T5550 CPU running at 1.83Ghz. I replaced it with a T7700 running at 2.4Ghz. When loading OSX and using the "About This Mac" the processor is displayed as running 1.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. I also ran Novabench and it reports the processor as a 1.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. I'm running a dual boot and in windows it picked up the T7700 just fine, and bios reports the same. Not really sure about how this is impacting performance, but I'd like to get it recognizing properly. Should I reinstall, is there a plist that can be edited, or something else that needs to be configured. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
