cheungz Posted March 14, 2011 Share Posted March 14, 2011 i was not able to enable the wlan card in my notebook. so i requested for help i have tried to search for modded IO80211Family.kext. But it couldn't solve my problem. i was not able to swap the wlan card due to Lenovo ThinkPad SL300 bios contain whitelist. when the Wlan card is detected out of the whitelist. the machine won't start up and requested to swap back the workable one. So the only solution for me, is to enable the AR5007(6)EG Wlan card. Here is some of the Information of my Thinkpad SL300 Cpu: Intel Core 2 Duo T5670 @1.8GHZ Display: Nvidia Geforce 9300M GS Ram 2X2GB DDR2 667 . HDD: Hitachi 160GB 5400RPM OS: Mac OS X 10.6.6i by hazard and Windows XP in dual boot Wireless card: Atheros AR5007(6)EG device ID 168C,001C i have tried to install and modify the IONetworkingFamily,IOPCIFamily by CHMOD -R 755 and CHOWN -R root:wheel. However, i got kernel panic in both arch=i386 -f -v and just pressing enter. So, could anyone help me to solve this problem? Thanks a lot.
