Will We See Universal Drivers Seeing Leopard Is Universal

Seeing that Leopard can run on G3's to Intel will that mean hardware manufacturers will be making universal drivers. This could be huge help to those that have unsupported hardware on Intel even though a PPC drivers is available. I don't see this helping on Tiger as I'm sure the drivers will only run under Leopard. Anyway just had this thought, so what do you think? will it happen?
