Nimraynn Posted January 9, 2011 Share Posted January 9, 2011 Hi there, I've been having some issues getting Mac OS X onto my Advent 4213 netbook. I'm getting there slowly as I'm new to all this, but working things out as I go along. I've just had a thought, but I'm not sure if this would work at all? I'm up to my third attempt at installing the operating system with all its drivers and such... I've just noticed on Disk Utility, there is an icon "New Image". Once I've installed the OS and bootloader, then installed all the drivers, could I use this to capture an image of the hard drive, store it on a USB drive and then when things go wrong, restore the image back to the hard drive and be back to a working state with all my settings and drivers?
