xman_p2
tracked down the kernel crashing kext stupid appletymceddriver removed the driver with the method in this post. credits http://www.hackint0sh.org/showthread.ph ... post603662 /sbin/mount -uw / rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleTyMCEDriver.kext rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/*AppleTyMCEDriver.kext rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches reboot Then reboot with -v -f (and -x if needed) you have to let the first boot happen and fail before you can remove the kext. Still missing sound and network and also if I walk away and the thing tries to enter sleep mode it crashes won't come out of sleep mode jst locks up. I havn't patched the dsdt I'm confused about some things it seems the newer kexts that are installed by default take care of a lot but how much I'm unsure like fakesmc the 2.5 version, some posts say I don't need to patch the dsdt. and what's with the bootloader pci thing, it looks like a 3 pronged approach to make the boards comptible modded kextx bootloader pci dsdt patches which seems like it's part of the bootloader pci So I guess I'm asking should I patch the dsdt with this distribution of leohzard to fix the power saveing sleep mode lockups. This motherboard is also stange the intel website doesn't list it yet other sites say d915grv = d915gag anyway any help appreciated.

Narvester
Hi xman_p2, I'm not sure if you're still out there but I'm new to Mac/Hackintosh and I'm trying to build one of my own. I have the same motherboard as you i.e. Intel D915GRV which I suspect is causing me problems booting up after installed iATKOS S3 v2 Snow Leopard 10.6.3. I suspect that I need to update my DSDT.aml file which is proving extremely difficult so are you able to send me a copy of yours please? Also, some instructions on how to insert the file into the correct folder on my hackintosh would be much appreciated. No amount of switches i.e. -v -x etc. at the boot prompt will get me past a blank screen. Here is the troublesome part of the bootlog of my hackintosh: No SMBIOS replacement found.Patched DMI TableFound SMBIOS System Information Table 1Using SMBIOS UUID='cf91e9b0-8eda-111d9-bc36-001111989417' as system-id[WARNING] /Extra/DSDT.aml not foundUsing PCI-Root-UID value 0Intel VGA Controller [8086:2582) :: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) (currently NOT SUPPORTED)LAN Controller [llab:4361] :: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1c,0x1)/Pci(0x0,0x0)Setting up lan keysUHCI controller [8086:2658] at 00:1d.0 base 640(c801)UHCI controller [8086:2659] at 00:1d.1 base 660(cc01)UHCI controller [8086:265a] at 00:1d.2 base 680(d001)UHCI controller [8086:265b] at 00:1d.3 base 6a0(d401)EHCI controller [8086:265c] at 00:1d.7 DMA @ff43bc00Using system-type=0x01No DSDT replacement found.
