Svenmike Posted October 27, 2010 Share Posted October 27, 2010 Hi! Not sure if anyone has any ideas on this but I have exhausted all of my own ideas and need help. I have GA-965P-DS3 rev. 1.3 mobo with ALC883 audio. I have managed to get it to work... except it sounds terrible. I have noticed that only AppleHDA.kext and AppleHDAController.kext load. AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext and HDAPlatformDriver.kext load on first bootup but after about 1 minute they dissapear from system profiler. I get this sound assertion error during bootup and continuously while snow leopard is running: Sound assertion "0 != result" failed in "/SourceCache/AppleHDA/AppleHDA-187.4.1/AppleHDA/AppleHDADriver.cpp" at line 4177 goto handler Sound assertion "0 != handleUnsolicitedResponse ( (void*)(pollTag << 26), (void*)0, (void*)0, (void*)0 )" failed in "/SourceCache/AppleHDA/AppleHDA-187.4.1/AppleHDA/AppleHDADriver.cpp" at line 488 goto handler I have created all my codec verbs and config data, I have edited my dsdt.aml, I have bin patched AppleHDA, I have used HDAEnabler, I have used legacy kexts, I have tried 10.6.1-4 kexts, all different layout id's and pathmaps.
