I had 10.6.2 working fine, and after reading about how easy it would be to update to 10.6.4 I went ahead and followed the instructions. I'm using the new legacy kernel for 10.6.4 from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...599&st=140# I was able to get into safe mode a few times with video, patched everything with the AMD utility, installed a couple updates, worked fine multiple times, but only in safe mode. Then I tried to get video working without safemode for an hour or so...and now I can't even get video in safe mode. It boots, is about to bring up the login screen, then my screen goes blank and my monitor goes to sleep. I have a feeling its probably just having the wrong kexts or combination of them, but now I can't even get into safemode!! Any ideas?
