playinpearls Posted October 22, 2010 Share Posted October 22, 2010 I've been following a couple instal guides for the 5007 atheros fix on my acer. I got to this guide and installed the two kexts. (from chuck nan) - IOPCIfamily and IONetworkingfamily.kext When I went to reboot, it woulden't reboot on its own, i had to power down manually. When it boots back up it stops on the grey apple loading screen but continues to spin, and then a icon pops up. I didn't know how to actually search for this, though i tried, but....what the heck is it? I'm a total Mac n00b, and learned how to close a window last week so be kind!
