What kernel you are using? AMD CPUs are not supported by the vanilla kernel. So be sure to use the patched version.

Unfortunately I have no experience with AMD CPUs whatsoever, so can not be of any help. Might be you need some other AMD-specific stuff.

I'm not 100% positive, but looks like there is no support for the VGA.
