I have running copy of OSX 10.6 (build 10A432)

Now I am trying to id my hardware. In linux, I would run a lspci to retrieve the hardware IDs.

What are my options?

What about su?

How do I find or reset root password?

Are there any gui options for checking hardware?

John

There is an OSx86 Tools application that has an "View PCI device/Vendor" function, to lists the hardware you have, together with Vendor/Device IDs. It is for OS X.

There is also a SystemInfo application http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=219584 which lists the hardware you have. It is for OS X.
