frannyjunk
Hi, I have a FIC VI35L motherboard and a LG CD-RW/DVD ROM. I have gotten almost everything to work except for the DVD ROM. I installed 10.5.6 plus patches to make the sound and ethernet to work. Do I need a kext for the SiS chipset for the motherboard or a driver for the DVD rom? Please help. frannyjunk
Your DVD ROM is SATA or IDE? Your Hard Disk is SATA or IDE? Both are IDE. The hard drive works just fine, but for the life of me I cannot get the DVD ROM to work. Sound worked with the correct kext. Ditto for the ethernet. Video is fine. Just that darn ..... ANy help is greatly appreciated.
3.14r2
Try change jumper settings on the DVD drive to "Cable select". Also change appropriate values in BIOS to "Host and cable" (if there are such settings...)
