Kiotie
Hi, I've been trying to install iDeneb v1.3 on a Gateway GT5656. The specifications are here: http://support.gateway.com/s/PC/R/1015002R/1015002Rsp3.shtml (I will give out more info if needed...) I'm wondering what customization options I should choose at install, if the computer is even compatible with iDeneb. Thank you so much for any responses! Kiotie The 6150SE is an integrated graphics chipset on the MOBO that is sharing your MOBO RAM.......it is not supported by OS X for CI and QE............in fact, AFAIK no Nvidia integrated GPU below 9x00m works on OSX........that is why installing any video kexts will prevent you booting......... Can you set AHCI mode in BIOS..........?
Kiotie
I'm not sure how to change AHCI in the BIOS. If I were to install an ATI Radeon HD4670 in the computer, would I be able to boot up with that? Thanks so much, Kiotie

For using an ATI Radeon HD4670 see here........but whether or not it wil easy to install OS X may depend on how restricted or not your Gateway PC BIOS is......... verdant
I have found one option to Enabe, SATA-1, or Disable the Serial-ATA controller. Enable the Serial-ATA controller........a good Leopard distro for AMD CPU MOBOs is the LawlessPPC 10.5.4 distro......it will be very helpful to have a working Leopard system before you attempt to install Snow Leopard.......so seach IM and also use Google to get more AMD CPU specific help...... Thanks for your help, I'll try installing iDeneb first, and if that doesn't work I guess I'll try LawlessPPC. Kiotie
