MrZighi
Hi to all, about one month ago I've buyed my first Apple product : a 32GB Ipad 3G and I've felt in love with it. So I would like to switch to an iMac, but before spending so many money ( for my finance ) I've thougt that It would be better to make some experiment on a PC running Snow Leopard. In the last three days I've read almost every tutorila and guide I've found in this forum and Now I'm a little confused about the best procedure to follow in my case. This is my configuration: Computer: Tipo computer ACPI x64-based PC Sistema operativo Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Service pack - Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385 DirectX DirectX 11.0 Nome computer Nome utente Dominio Data / Ora 2010-08-19 / 09:49 Scheda madre: Tipo processore DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 3000 MHz (9 x 333) Nome scheda madre Asus P5QL-E (3 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 1 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394) Chipset scheda madre Intel Eaglelake P43 Memoria di sistema 4096 MB (DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM) DIMM1: Kingston HyperX KHX6400D2LL/1GN 1 GB DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz) DIMM2: Kingston HyperX KHX6400D2LL/1GN 1 GB DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz) DIMM3: Kingston HyperX KHX6400D2LL/1GN 1 GB DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz) DIMM4: Kingston HyperX KHX6400D2LL/1GN 1 GB DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz) Tipo BIOS AMI (09/11/09) Porta di comunicazione Porta di comunicazione (COM1) Scheda video: Adattatore video ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series (512 MB) Adattatore video ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series (512 MB) Acceleratore 3D ATI Radeon HD 4670 (RV730) Schermo Samsung SyncMaster T220(G)/MagicSyncMaster T220(G) (Digital) [22" LCD] (H9XQB37644) Multimedia: Periferica audio ATI Radeon HDMI @ ATI RV710/730/740 - High Definition Audio Controller Periferica audio Realtek ALC888/1200 @ Intel 82801JB ICH10 - High Definition Audio Controller Archiviazione: Controller IDE Controller standard PCI IDE Controller IDE Controller standard PCI IDE Unità disco Generic USB CF Reader USB Device Unità disco Generic USB MS Reader USB Device Unità disco Generic USB SD Reader USB Device Unità disco Generic USB SM Reader USB Device Unità disco WDC WD10EADS-00M2B0 ATA Device (931 GB, IDE) Unità disco WDC WD5000AAKS-00D2B0 ATA Device (465 GB, IDE) Unità ottica PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-216D ATA Device (DVD+R9:12x, DVD-R9:12x, DVD+RW:20x/8x, DVD-RW:20x/6x, DVD-ROM:16x, CD:40x/32x/40x DVD+RW/DVD-RW) Unità ottica TSSTcorp DVD-ROM SH-D163B ATA Device (16x/48x DVD-ROM) Stato dei dischi fissi SMART OK Partizioni: C: (NTFS) 69884 MB (38542 MB disponibili) D: (NTFS) 397.4 GB (313.0 GB disponibili) G: (NTFS) 931.5 GB (265.5 GB disponibili) Capacità 1397.2 GB (616.1 GB disponibili) Periferiche di input: Tastiera PS/2 Keyboard Mouse Logitech HID-compliant RX1000 Laser Mouse Rete locale: Indirizzo IP primario 192.168.1.10 Indirizzo MAC primario 00-22-15-8E-E0-55 Adattatore di rete Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller (192.168.1.10) Adattatore di rete Dispositivo Bluetooth (Personal Area Network) Modem Modem standard su collegamento Bluetooth Modem Modem standard su collegamento Bluetooth #3 Periferiche: Stampante Brother DCP-150C Printer Stampante CutePDF Writer Stampante Fax Stampante Kyocera Mita FS-1050 KX Stampante Microsoft XPS Document Writer Controller FireWire AT&T/Lucent IEEE1394 FireWire Controller (PHY: Agere LFW3226/3227) Controller USB1 Intel 82801JB ICH10 - USB Universal Host Controller Controller USB1 Intel 82801JB ICH10 - USB Universal Host Controller Controller USB1 Intel 82801JB ICH10 - USB Universal Host Controller Controller USB1 Intel 82801JB ICH10 - USB Universal Host Controller Controller USB1 Intel 82801JB ICH10 - USB Universal Host Controller Controller USB1 Intel 82801JB ICH10 - USB Universal Host Controller Controller USB2 Intel 82801JB ICH10 - USB2 Enhanced Host Controller Controller USB2 Intel 82801JB ICH10 - USB2 Enhanced Host Controller Periferica USB Brother DCP-150C Periferica USB Dispositivo di archiviazione di massa USB Periferica USB Dispositivo di archiviazione di massa USB Periferica USB Dispositivo di archiviazione di massa USB Periferica USB Dispositivo USB composito Periferica USB Generic Bluetooth Adapter Periferica USB Logitech USB RX1000 Laser Mouse Periferica USB Supporto stampa USB DMI: Produttore DMI del BIOS American Megatrends Inc. For installing Snow Leopard I've bought a dedicaterd 320GB HD. So I have some crucial doubts about the best procedure to follow in may case: 1) I Know that the esay way is to use e distro like LeoHazzard for example, but my haedware configuration shuold be well supported also by retail SnowLeopard 1.6.3 DVD. 2) Which is the best ( for my configuration ) iLoader to start the installation process of the Reatil SnowLeopard DVD? 3)About patching the OSX to best accomplish my Hardware configuration I Know there are three ways: 1) Patching some Kernel extension 2) Creating a patched EFI 3)Using a patched BIOS for my P5QL-E with compatible DSDT ( I don't like this way very much cause It semms to me too much invasive for my sistem) 4) I've always have read that is important to set in the BIOS the SATA controllorer in AHCI mode rather than simple IDE emulation, but this may be the worst of my problem: by now my sata controllor is set to IDE and if I switch it to AHCI mode than Windows 7 stop booting in my PC. So I'm wondering if exists some workaround for my mobo to let SnowLeopard be installed in IDE mode ( some particular kext?? ) Please help me cleaning all this stuff in my mind.-)
