I'm new to osX86. New to osX actually.

I'm looking for help in getting my OSX 10.6.4 up and running on my ASUS P5LD2 motherboard with an nvidia Quadro FX 4500 graphics card.

So far, I have followed the tonymac instructions http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ibo...ac-os-x-on.html. (I wasn't able to find an HPET setting in my BIOS. Not sure how crucial this is.)

I was able to use the nvidia ##### cd but to boot and install osx only in safe mode by supplying '-x' boot options,

The os is installed and I attemted to use ##### to install a DSDT file that I found on this site in the DSDT database thread for a P5LD2-VM motherboard which I'm not really sure is compatible. I don't really understand what a DSDT is yet or why I need one.

At this point I can get to the bootloader booting from the hard disk but startup hangs on the grey background with the apple logo on it. I tried using the '-x' option and got the same results.

Again my system specs are:

ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe motherboard w/ Pentium D processor and 2GB ram

Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 video card

Help please....
