acidd22
I'm recently getting back into the OSx86 world with an installation of Snow Leopard on my Gigabyte EP43-DS3L. Everything is going pretty well except i have a weird quirk. When i boot into Snow Leopard, I just get a blue screen w/ no mouse or icons. However when i boot with the -x flag, i get my login screen, complete with full resolution graphics. I'm running and MSI GeForce 7600GS with 256MB. I used OSx86Tools to install the graphics card into the com.apple.boot.plist file. Ever since then, I'm getting this problem with the blue screen. I read on one forum that the problem is caused by having more then 2GB of memory (I have 4GB) and a bug in the ATA driver. This post was form 2008, and was probably for Leopard. I tried using maxmem=2048, but that didn't help. I've also tried cpus=1. let me know if you have any suggestions!
