Hi, I know, read, read, read... I have been at this for a week, got all my drivers for the hardware I use on my Dell Inspiron 6400/e1505 working including the ATI X1400.... whenever I attempt to install a bootloader (I have tried many) and reboot it either hangs or boots but my keyboard no longer works and my mouse mooves very slowly and when it does it just moves in jumps!? If I boot with the empire DVD everything works fine.. I have tried the post install bootloader from the Empire disk (I would think that would do fine) as well as numerous other boot loaders, I must be missing something in all these tuts I have followed.

summary,

my keyboard doesn't work when booting direct with loader but does if booting with Empire disk

my mouse works intermittently and is very jumpy

additional info that may help anyone that may have an answer,

battery and cd eject buttons not showing in top taskbar

in System profiler memory tab it states "thare was an error while gathering this information"

in system profiler it doesn't show the battery information

it does however have the info on my optical drive and hard disk?

*UPDATE*

Fixed thanks to Bren1818, installed VoodooTSsync.txt....
