chaseheinemann
I have spent nearly all of my OSX86 time searching for a working kext for audio. Here is the information on my card: 8086;Intel Corporation;293e;82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller;Multimedia controller;Audio device (from SystemInfo) VoodooHDA is the only one that has partially worked..but after a few minutes after restart, it makes a groggy, distorted noise with the sounds playing. Please help! If there's any extra info you'd need, let me know! Please respond ASAP as I need it for a presentation.

I'm not sure it would be worth the $30 if the install doesn't get sound. Since this is my dealbreaker in running a Hackinstosh.

JBraddock
You need to find out which codec is your machine has. For example I have the following device: IDT 92HD71B7 If you happen to learn that you have the same device then here is the solution I am using: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1504469
