Anybody got 2 GTX 260s working? Help would be appreciated.

Hi there everyone, it's been a while since I've been on here.

 

I've just built my new hack up, and have everything except the sound working, although I can get to that later. I have one GTX 260 working with openCL as we speak, displaying the correct resolution etc thanks to chameleon and myhack.

 

I'm now looking to install my second GTX 260. I know it can be done, and I have seen people talking about it in the forums, but I cannot find a simple straightforward guide on how to get them working. When I install the second card the OS boots most of the way but GSODs before the desktop appears.

 

I'm using a GA-X58A-UD3R with an i7 920, but I don't think the board and chip will be having any bearing on getting the 2nd card installed.

 

I've looked all over for help and whenever I think I've found some helpful file or other and click it, the link is invariably dead.

 

If anyone can help a new hackint0sh use out here, it would be greatly appreciated. And if I sound really ignorant in the replies I leave later on in the thread, please remember I just started building this machine yesterday and I'm amazed I've got this far, to be actually posting off the very same machine.

I'm in the same boat as you basically except I've been at this for a good 5 months...I would suggest using Aqua-Mac's dual graphics card tutorial and create a "Dual-GFX string" for both your cards. If you can't get that to work I'd take a a look in DSDT. Congrats on getting this far, but a little heads up. I'm a programmer and understand a lot of computer stuff, but this stuff your heading into is ADVANCED STUFF! Trust me. EFI strings are your best bet. Good luck to you!
