alex_time
Hi to everyone. I have set up my wonderfull Snow Leopard and I was trying to installa the glusterfs client. For all of you that does not know glusterfs project I can say that is a distributed filesystem over network. I have installed the MacFUSE package first as required by GlusterFS and then compiled and installed GlusterFS from source as described in their guide here (http://www.gluster.com/community/documentation/index.php/GlusterFS_on_MAC_OS_X). After that I should be able to use the mound command with the -t glusterfs option and the mount point partially works, because just after the mount, with the df command I can see the right disk size. But as soon as I try to access to the mount point my system hangs for about a minute and say "Permession denied", and if I try to do the same by root I receive "Device not configured". Looking at the log file in the mean time, I see that when I receive the error message it unmount by itself. This is my fifth day in the OSX world...maybe I am missing something really stupid... Could anyone with expirience please, give me some advice?! I have installed the glusterFS server across two linux server with Debian, following this guide http://www.howtoforge.com/high-availabilit...storage-servers and I can access all my data from linux client of course (I have a little linux expirience) but I really am a newbie here...I have all my data on my replicated server and I cannot use my new Mac because I cannot access all my files...
