ALC662 under SL on a new laptop ASUS

Hi,

I just installed Snow Leopard using Empire EFI v1.08 on my new laptop, an ASUS K61IC drived by an Nvidia Chipset.

I tried a lot of audio drivers but it's only possible to get a (horrible) sound with VoodooHDA's driver.

Then I found this guide (in french) to patch AppleHDA's driver for MAC OS 10.5. I don't know if it'll work on MAC OS 10.6, and I feel unable to do it alone myself, but I followed instructions to get the codec dump with Ubuntu's live CD.

Could someone help me to patch it ?

hello---audio is working ALC662 on nVidia MCP79 CHIPSET, i have Asus K70IO but use this driver under Snow Leopard 10.6.2 running 64-bit kext...

here is link and follow instructions:

1) Try to put AsusK50IN.kext + HDAEnabler.kext into E/E (remove them from S/L/E)
2) Put original AppleHDA.kext into S/L/E...
3) Run Kext Utility by Cvad
4) reboot

sound is working 100% crystal, int mic works, hot plug jack of headphones...works line in..al is working...-_-)))

I can't find the "Extra" directory and when i tried to create one, it says theres already a folder named that. :/

any help please?

I got my ACL 662 working on my desktop, thought I'd run by and post the codec dump in case it helps anybody: it's at http://www.adamhunter.net/acl662.txt. Came out of an ASUS motherboard. Everything seems to work.
