Boot Windows from External USB Disk

Hello there!

So...

I have a Macbook Pro (Unibody, late 2008) and wants to be able to boot Windows (XP or 7) from an external harddrive.

I have tried (and successfully) installing XP x86 on the external HDD but my Mac can't boot from the USB. (I have tried with rEFIt too – no success)

I guess it has something to do 'bout the partition table on the USB as my Mac can boot from a Snow Leopard-installations-USB. (I'm trying to make a Hackintosh)

So…

My Mac can boot from USBs.

But it can't boot from an external HDD with XP on.

Does anyone have a guide or an idea on how to create a (EFI?) bootable HDD? :thumbsdown_anim:
