andrewfree
Has anyone installed rEFIt on 10.6? I have a MBP from late 2008 running 10.6. When I try to install rEFIt it says PPC is not supported. I'm on a intel core 2 duo.. wtf.
rykon
You have to install manually for some reason with 10.6. You may need to restart a few times for it to work as well. Open Terminal and enter the following commands: cd /efi/refit ./enable.sh
Skaag Argonius
Here's an interesting point for you: I am writing this reply from an Apple Store in Munich, Germany. I gave them my MacBook Pro to fix, for CD Burning problems. They returned my laptop today, and they blame rEFIt for that problem. They say that because I do not boot from the original boot loader, that the disk burning does not work. They claim to have booted from an external operating system, and that the superdrive worked fine. I am yet to verify this claim, I will post again soon with more findings hopefully. UPDATE: Yes, I can confirm that upon removing rEFIt, I can now burn CD's again. I am using Snow Leopard, on an original MacBook Pro Unibody (1 year old), Build 10B504.
