how do i maximize my resolution?

im using on board video i have a shuttle SG33G5 2gb memory and an intel core2 quad, my monitor is capable of 1920x1080 but im currently only getting 1280x1024 and thats because i changed the com.apple.boot.plist and added this

any other way i can try to get my max resolution....
