den0220 Posted August 10, 2009 Share Posted August 10, 2009 Hello, I just got done succefully building a hackintosh with the following specs as i was looking to upgrade my imac to a mac pro but figured i would go this route due to cost. Gigabyte x58-extreme Core i7 3.06 6GB Domintator Memory 1TB WD Black LD DVDR Antec 9 Series Case Enermax 85+ 1050 power supply v8 CPU cooler nVidia gtx 285 Everything is working awesomely however one of the main reasons i wanted to go mac pro was because of the dual ethernet ports to use one to connect the drobopro using iscsi proto. Well needless to say when i plug the drobo into the Gig enet nothing happens. The machine does not see the Drobo. I can successfully mount the drive connected via USB. Can anyone shed any light on this. The unit works fine if i plug directly to my iMac enet port. Again without the Drobo i will have to revert to possibly purchasing an expensive Mac Pro because all of my video, photos and data are on the drobo. I was so excited to finally get everything working and i figured this would be a no brainer and then i plug it in and nothing. Many thanks.
