duckyreads
This is what tutorial we were following: Dell Inspiron to Hackbook Pro Using terminal, we've been having problems. My friend and I know we must be doing something wrong, but we're not sure what it is. This is what happens: london-burdens-macpro31:~ londonburden$ sudo su -; chmod +x bcm43xx_enabler.sh ; /Users/londonburden/Documents/Dell/Broadcom-Script/bcm43xx_enabler.sh WARNING: Improper use of the sudo command could lead to data loss or the deletion of important system files. Please double-check your typing whenusing sudo. Type "man sudo" for more information. To proceed, enter your password, or type Ctrl-C to abort. Password: chmod: bcm43xx_enabler.sh: No such file or directory You need to have root-privelages! To run this script, simply type 'sudo /Users/londonburden/Documents/Dell/Broadcom-Script/bcm43xx_enabler.sh' and enter your password london-burdens-macpro31:~ londonburden$ the thing is — we haven't set a password. Is this a problem? How do we set it up…? I'm really, really confused. And yes, we tried typing sudo su, then enter, didn't enter a password, since we hadn't made one — and then dragged in the script and pressed enter. Also on an unrelated note, sometimes when we restart, the computer doesn't show stuff on the desktop.
