Alexandre Couto Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Sorry about my English! Hello people, I have a GA-G31M-ES2C motherboard that uses Intel G31 Express Chipset. On the board manual is writen that it uses an Intel GMA 950, and on the board box says GMA 3100. After iPC or iDeneb instalation it couldn't load the Graphics Kext and enable the QE/CI. I have also searched everywhere for a solution and tried all of it, but with no sucess. I can only change resolution to 1280x1024 by changing boot.plist, nothing more. Can you help me? How to know the kext that I should use or corret way to install it. Will I need to by a GeForce Graphic Card? If you want QE/CI you can buy a compatible graphic card Nvidia or ATI. The GMA 4500 "driver" (modded X3100 driver) ONLY allows for resolution changes. GMA 3100 / 4500 do NOT have QE/CI. Period. If it ever happens, you won't need to ask, or even look on this board. There will be enough riotous shouting and applause that you'll be alerted even if living in a monastery in the high Alps. Okay? Sanver Kapur Posted December 4, 2011 Share Posted December 4, 2011 See here http://www.taiwanpcs...telgraphics.htm difference between GMA 3100 and x3100 BTW, when i installed BURG(a gui bootloader) from ubuntu, booting OSX from it made my hackintosh start in 1600x1200 resolution while with the chamelion bootloader, i could get max 1280x1024 by editing boot.plist file my motherboard is MSI MS-7525 (aka Boston-GL6).
